Crafty Valentines ❤️

So today the kids and I made Valentine’s Day crafts. I helped Greyson make one for Juan (my husband and his step-dad) and one for his daddy. And I also helped Dominic make one for his daddy too!

Greyson and I got crafty this morning while Dom was taking his morning rest. I had found a cute idea on Pinterest and we just had to try it out! I drew the heart outline and wrote “I LOVE YOU TO PIECES” and who it was from and to, as well as the year at the top right corner. This one he was making for Juan.

Greyson did the rest all by himself (mostly). All I had to do was hand him the sheets of purple, pink, and red paper and the scissors and let him get to work. He cut up little bits of the paper and I helped him make piles of the different colored paper pieces.

Then I gave him the glue stick and instructed him to put a bunch of glue inside the lines of the heart. Here he needed some assistance because he started going a little crazy with the glue stick. 😂

Then he placed his cut up paper pieces inside the heart.

I’m so proud of my baby boy! He also wanted to further decorate it. He’s very creative in his decorating. 😊

I’m so so proud of Greyson for how independent and creative he’s become. 🙂

Next we worked together on making his daddy a valentine! Note that this was another Pinterest idea I found. I absolutely LOVE Pinterest. Pinterest is the best. Seriously. It’s the bomb.

I cut out a heart and helped Greyson paint his hand and we made his little handprint. We glued the heart onto a piece of red paper. Then I wrote the year in the top right corner and wrote “Dear Daddy, I made this heart just for you. I created it in my own special way. I wanted to say I love you on this Valentine’s Day! Love, Greyson” under his cute little handprint. Greyson got very creative in decorating his daddy’s card!

He was working really hard!

He did such a good job on his valentines today. He was so proud of his work too! 😁

I helped Dominic make his daddy a valentine after naptime. I wrote the year and beside the heart and his little footprints I wrote for him “Dear Daddy, I love you from the bottom of my heart to the tips of my toes. Love, Dominic”. Dom’s 16 months old. We kept it simple but sweet. 😊

That cute little face though!! Gotta love my squish. ❤

I think he did a rather magnificent job decorating his daddy’s valentine. 😁

Now I just need to figure out what I’m going to make their daddy/step-daddy/my husband for Valentine’s Day. February 14th also happens to be our first wedding anniversary as well! I have an idea of what I want to make for him in mind at the least….. 💡

Wubbanub Soothie to Mam Conversion

The Wubbanub I had ordered from Amazon came in just this past Friday. Now, my squish has only used a Mam pacifier since birth. (Please do take note that he will take any bottle, not minding what brand it is, as long as milk comes out…) Since that day, I’ve offered it to him a few times, but he’s never wanted the Soothie pacifier that is attached.

So today I was thinking… I wonder if there’s such a thing as a Mam wubbanub… so I Googled “Mam Wubbanub” and wound up finding a link to a wonderful blog post for it, in which I found a link for the original posted idea on the BabyCenter website.

I had to try the idea myself! So I read over what she did to replace the pacifier, and began my work.

A seam ripper to remove the Soothie

It wasn’t hard to remove the pacifier at all. All I had to do was pull on the Soothie a little, and use the seam ripper on the stitches holding it in. Next came the stitching in of the Mam pacifier ring.

I just made sure it was secure enough after I stitched it in by trying to mangle it (or you could give it a gentle tug) like I’m sure the baby will eventually. 😂

Once it’s stitched in, insert beloved Mam pacifier and voila….. Baby’s favorite paci just got even better. This project took me roughly 10 minutes! You could do it as well!

He enjoys his new Wubbanub

He loves to play with it as he falls asleep. 💙

Falling asleep... and YES he has to be all covered up all over to fall asleep.. he's weird like that. But we like weird around here.

Oh, and if you do happen to make the Wubbanub Soothie to Mam conversion, leave a comment to let me know how it went!
